New York,
on foot.

Three weeks of walking, 15 June to 4 July 2024. The arches at Bethesda Terrace, East 42nd Street in the wet, the courts on West 4th on a summer afternoon, a firehouse with its bay doors open after midnight.

Nothing here was arranged. The city keeps its own pace, and most of the work is standing in the right doorway when something happens, then waiting a beat longer than feels comfortable.
